Grandparents hold a special place in our hearts! They provide a sense of security, support, and extra love to our children and hold a space in their hearts that cannot be replaced. Grandparents Day is an extra special day at Vivero Schools because it provides an opportunity to set aside quality time for a child and their grandparents and recognise this special bond.
With schools not being held the traditional way, the celebration involved thoughtful planning with ample creativity engagements.
Here we have our children expressing their love to their grandparents with all zest and energy!
Children were very excited to share the screen with their grandparents who joined from north, south, east and west India.
Grandparents sang songs, narrated stories and shared their golden memories. They played games partnering with their grandchildren. Children made a card and dedicated to their grandparents and expressed their love!
It was a day to remember and cherish!!
Annual Day in Vivero 2019-2020 was a time to simply marvel what Mother Nature has bestowed us with, the theme was "Elementos De Tierra. With words of gratitude, thoughts of gratitude, and actions of gratitude towards our beloved earth, the children rekindled this spirit of gratitude in all of us. Children with help of teachers put in their heart and soul in rehearsing with full swing. The programme was inaugurated with lighting of the traditional lamp by the chief guest Ms. Rachna Jha, VP -Operations and all the School Heads of Hyderabad. The presentation of the annual report gave a glimpse of the flash back of what the children did in classrooms and outdoors during the year. Scintillating performances by the little ones marked Vivero International's Annual Day Concert, and parents were touched and teachers super proud. It was an emotional moment for all of us watching the confident young performers on stage brimming with energy and joy. The day reflected well on the Reggio Emilia philosophy which values the child as strong, capable and resilient; rich with wonder and knowledge that is what the performances spoke. Before closing the program, we thanked all our stakeholders including our executive care givers who play an important role in ensuring learning takes place in a safe, conducive and supportive learning environment.
Playing with friends isn't just about having fun. — although that certainly is important. Children's first friendships and play dates also helps in social skills — how to share, taking turns, and even some conflict resolution. Various stations were set up for parents and children for creative engagements like origami, pot painting, play dough with textures, making potato and cheese crackers at the culinary station, getting creative at the atelier of art and of-course their favourite time was getting together for a puppet show.
